Diverse Order Handling
Enables flexible handling of warehouse shipments for various order types with different requirements.
Purpose
Diverse order handling saves time in picking, particularly for items from different source documents for the same delivery addresses within one warehouse shipment. This reduces travel and pick times and increases efficiency.
- Optimization: Reduction of repeated picking operations for the same delivery addresses.
- Flexibility: Consolidation of multiple orders into one warehouse shipment.
Prerequisites
- Activated flags:
- Allow picking creation by consolidation no.
- Consolidation by Shipping Address allowed
- The staging area in the warehouse shipment must be the same at the order level.
- Goods may be sent to the recipient without reference to the source documents.

Setup
- SIEVERS WMS Setup:
- Activate Allow picking creation by consolidation no.
- Activate Consolidation by Shipping Address allowed.
- Staging area suggestion according to comfort settings.
- Customer:
- Activate Packing according to shipping address.
Roles
- Picker: Carries out the picking.
- Warehouse planner / warehouse manager: Coordinates and monitors the processes.
Documents
- Source documents (sales order, outbound stock post order, purchase credit memo, transfer order).
- Warehouse shipment.
- Picking document.
Process Flow
Steps
Warehouse shipment automation
- Open automation and start processing.
- Ensure that all orders are correctly scheduled.
Process warehouse shipment planning
- Open warehouse shipment planning.
- Enter packaging teams (WMS Teams).
- Create new document and create warehouse document.
Release picking document
- Check assignment of orders to teams.
- Release items for picking.
Start picking
- Log in via MDE > A4 Picking.
- Select picking document.
- Validate by scanning load carriers and confirming quantities.
Complete
- After successful picking: scan staging places.
- Print labels and place goods.

Tipp
Diverse order handling is particularly useful when the same item appears in multiple orders for the same delivery address. SIEVERS WMS recognizes identical consolidation numbers and automatically creates bundled picking documents.
