Pick & Pack

Enables seamless and efficient processing of picking and packaging without separate process steps.

Purpose

The Pick & Pack method reduces process steps by performing packaging directly during picking.

• Efficiency: Elimination of a separate packaging process.
• Direct SSCC creation: The SSCC is generated immediately during the picking process.

Prerequisites

• PTU with item quantities must be present in picking.

Process Flow

Steps

1. Warehouse shipment planning

   • Start warehouse document creation for the warehouse shipment.
   • Release picking document.

2. MDE login and select order

   • A4 Picking > select team (Ctrl+K / F5).
   • Select order.

3. Print blank barcodes

   • Open "Warehouse" area.
   • Generate blank barcode and click preview.

4. Start picking

   • Open A4.2 > select 1st line (travel to storage place).
   • Scan load carrier > confirm quantity.
   • Repeat this step until all lines are processed.

5. Enter dimensions and weight

   • Open F1 (Ctrl+B) > record dimensions and weight.
   • Select inventory dimension > enter weight.
   • F5 (Ctrl+K) > F9 print label.

6. Label display

   • Open print job overview in SIEVERS Print.
   • Display PDF (optionally without physical printing).

Variants

Variant	Description
Full pallet picking	Complete pallets are withdrawn directly.
Partial quantities	Partial quantities are taken from containers.
Packaging skip	When a PTU is full, SSCC creation happens automatically.

Tipp

SIEVERS WMS skips or completes the packaging process in the background. The SSCC is then "packed" (status 7) and ready for outbound or loading, depending on the carrier setup.

Exception: Adding items to an SSCC

During feedback in the picking document or during the packaging process, there may be exceptional cases where new items need to be added to an existing SSCC.

Hinweis

The weight of the SSCC is automatically removed and must be re-entered. Removing the weight also resets the status to 2-Recorded. Once the weight has been re-entered, the status is set back to 7-Packed.
