Loading
Loading is the final step in the warehouse shipment process: the physical assignment of packed SSCCs to freight carriers (truck, container) and the subsequent warehouse shipment posting. If no loading is required, the warehouse shipment is posted directly from the warehouse shipment planning.
Loading in SIEVERS WMS
SIEVERS WMS controls loading via shipment processes, which are created from the warehouse shipment planning. Operational execution takes place on the MDE device via A6 Loading. When the shipment process is set to "checked", the warehouse shipment is automatically posted.
The shipment process passes through the following status fields:
- Released for preparation: Creates a move job to the loading storage place.
- On the premise: Carrier driver has arrived.
- Released for loading: Goods are released for loading.
Freight documentation (packing list, shipment list, CMR) can be printed directly from the shipment process or the warehouse shipment.
Hinweis
A shipment process is only required if the Loading required option is activated on the carrier. If this option is not set, loading is omitted as a process step.
Process Variants
| Variant | Description | When to use? |
|---|---|---|
| Posting without loading | Direct posting of the warehouse shipment from warehouse shipment planning, without a shipment process | When Loading required is not set on the carrier |
| Loading | Assignment of SSCCs to freight carriers, scan validation on MDE, automatic warehouse shipment posting | Whenever "Loading required" is activated on the carrier |
| Freight documentation | Print packing list, shipment list, and international consignment note (CMR) | For export shipments or when freight accompanying documents are required |
Tipp
The packing list can already be printed as soon as all quantities have been packed, i.e. before the loading is completed.
