Loading

The loading process covers the final step in the warehouse shipment process, in which picked and packed goods are loaded onto transport vehicles and prepared for dispatch.

Purpose

Loading serves to assign SSCCs to freight carriers and validate them. Times and user data are recorded automatically, errors are reduced, and the process is documented.

Prerequisites

  • SSCCs must have the status "7-packed".
  • The carrier must be stored in the warehouse shipment with the Loading required flag activated.

Setup

  • Carrier loading must be activated.
  • Set up WMS Teams with loading type.

Roles

  • Loader: Responsible for scanning and loading the SSCCs.
  • Dispatcher / warehouse manager: Monitors the loading process and coordinates the workflows.

Process Flow

Step 1: Shipment process before loading starts

  • Vehicle registration numbers, container numbers, or seal numbers can be entered.
  • The dispatcher can specify guideline values.

Step 2: Login and loading overview

Step 3: SSCC scans

  • Scan SSCCs to pick them up. Photos can be taken (F6).
  • Scan SSCC again to load it onto the truck. This removes the SSCC from the loading overview.

Step 4: Complete loading

  • End loading with P1 (Ctrl+M).
  • Set loading to "checked". This automatically posts the warehouse shipment.

Before loading starts, vehicle registration numbers, container numbers, and seal numbers can be stored in the shipment process. These details appear automatically on the freight documentation.
