Shortage in Picking

Interim process for inventory shortage during picking: block the affected inventory and automatically search for alternative inventory.

Purpose

When a picker finds less inventory during withdrawal than recorded in the system, this process blocks the reserved inventory and automatically searches for an alternative free inventory in the warehouse. This is a special process outside of regular stocktaking.

Prerequisites

  • An open picking order must exist.
  • Blocking code for inventory discrepancies stored.
  • Setting "Block inventory discrepancy" set to "Container".
