Inventory Adjustment
Immediate update and correction of warehouse inventory by warehouse employees directly on the MDE device.
Purpose
The inventory adjustment ensures that actual inventory matches the quantities recorded in the system. It enables direct corrections when discrepancies are found by the picker and avoids unnecessary travel.
Prerequisites
- Storage place without active reservations.
- No active picking or move jobs on the storage place.

Setup
- SIEVERS WMS Setup: Activate automatic second count when a threshold value is exceeded.
- Create blocking codes for inventory discrepancies.
Roles
- Picker: Carries out correction when discrepancies are found.
- Stocktaking employee: Takes over and posts discrepancies.

Process Flow
Step 1: MDE login and open storage place
- Log in to MDE.
- Open B3 Adjust Inventory.
- Confirm team with F5.
- Scan storage place (e.g. 10020106).
- F5 for new inventory.
Step 2: Record inventory
- Scan blank barcode to create a new load unit.
- Scan item and enter quantity.
- Confirm with Enter.
Hinweis
If a load unit exists and is located on a different place, a transfer is automatically performed.
Step 3: Post discrepancy
- Automatic second count is initiated depending on setup.
- Stocktaking management checks the "counted" checkbox > discrepancy is posted.

Tipp
Inventory adjustment can also be triggered directly from picking when a picker notices a discrepancy during withdrawal. In this case, see also Shortage in Picking.
