Setup

Printer Station for Warehouse Employees - Item 136291

On the Warehouse Employees page, the Printer Station can now be set directly for the warehouse employee. The selection includes the printer stations configured in the system. This enables printouts for newly created warehouse employees, for example when posting an output journal.

Report Selection - Item 140432

When several reports are configured for a label in SWMS Report Selection, all reports are now printed in the Sequence specified there.

Warehouse Shipment Creation by Shipping Agent and Date - Item 141187

The setup fields Split Whse. Shipment by Shipping Agent and Split Whse. Shipment by Planned Shipment Date determine whether sales lines are split into separate warehouse shipments by shipping agent and shipping agent service code or by planned shipment date. When a setup is enabled, different values result in separate warehouse shipments; identical values are consolidated. Both setups are disabled by default.

In this sprint, warehouse shipment creation was corrected: sales lines with the same shipping agent, shipping agent service code, and planned shipment date are now correctly consolidated into one warehouse shipment. The first loading day, shipping agent, and shipping agent service code are taken over from the sales lines.

Features

SWMS Wizard

Guided Tours and Contextual Help

The SWMS Wizard now supports warehouse employees with guided tours and contextual help when setting up SIEVERS WMS. The tours start when the relevant page is opened for the first time or can be started manually from Help.

The tours explain SIEVERS WMS-relevant settings on the following pages:

  • Location Card
  • Logistics Setup
  • Company Information
  • Customer and Vendor
  • Warehouse Employees
  • Assignment Packaging Team by Location & Shipping Agent
  • shipping agent transport-type configuration

Additional tooltips explain settings for GS1 support, carriers, countries and regions, and the item card. Fields not used by SIEVERS WMS are hidden.

Replenishment

Inbound Quantities and Inventory Movements in the Order-Based Demand Calculation - Item 139807

The order-based demand calculation now considers expected inbound quantities and ongoing inventory movements in addition to the outstanding quantities from warehouse shipments and inventory in the picking area. Open warehouse receipt and transfer lines to the location within the date window, as well as deposit documents with a target in the picking area, reduce the replenishment demand. Ongoing outbound stock posts, open move jobs, and transfers are also included in the net inventory calculation. If inventory and inbound quantities fully cover the demand, no replenishment move job is created.

Stocktaking

Lot Number from Number Series for New Inventory on the Mobile Device - Item 141390

The Lot Handling Stocktaking setup is now also applied on the mobile device in the B5.5 New Inventory form. For items that require a lot number, the Lot No. field is handled according to this setup:

  • Always Enter Lot No.: The field remains empty. The warehouse employee enters or scans the lot number manually.
  • Suggest Lot No. from Series - Not Editable: The next number from the lot number series assigned to the item is suggested automatically. The field cannot be edited.
  • Suggest Lot No. from Series - Editable: The next number is suggested and can be changed manually or overwritten by scanning.

For items without an assigned lot number series, the field remains empty. If the number series is exhausted, the mobile device displays a red error message. New inventory cannot be recorded in this case.

Warehouse Receipt

Assembly

Assembly-to-Order: Secure warehouse shipment during posting - Item 143612

If Create Whse. Shpt. and Stock Doc. for Order Assembly is disabled, a warehouse shipment must now exist before the assembly order is posted. Without an existing warehouse shipment, posting is aborted; if one exists, an outbound stock post line for the affected quantity is created and supplied with the required picking and packaging data.

Service

Open Warehouse Shipment from Service Order - Item 144061

The service order now provides the Show Warehouse Shipment action, which lets you reach the related warehouse shipment directly. If there is exactly one warehouse shipment for the service order, the warehouse shipment card opens directly. If there are several, the list of all warehouse shipments belonging to the service order opens.

Inventory Selection for Service Lines - Item 142228

The Inventory Selection and Inventory Selection Strategy Code fields can now be maintained in the Service Item Worksheet Subform and on Service Lines. This allows automatic inventory selection to be switched to manual selection or an alternative inventory selection strategy to be specified for automatic selection. When the stock document is created, the settings are transferred to the corresponding warehouse line. Once a warehouse shipment or outbound stock post exists for the service line, the fields can no longer be changed.

Change of Ownership

Change of Ownership Order follow-up work - Item 142921

When releasing a Change of Ownership Order, the system now checks whether the required values are available for new lot-tracked and serial-number-tracked items. Entering a serial number automatically sets the Quantity to 1, which cannot be changed afterwards.

The Location Code and Quantity fields are visible. The Create Item Jnl. & Stock Document action now creates the item journal lines and the outbound stock document before posting. This is required in particular for manual inventory selection.

Warehouse Shipment

Number of Assembly Orders in Warehouse Shipment Planning - Item 141946

In Warehouse Shipment Planning, the Number of Assembly Orders column is now hidden by default and can be displayed through personalization. It shows assembly orders in the Open, Released, or Finished state that are linked to the respective warehouse shipment through sales orders. Clicking the number opens the filtered Assembly Orders list. Drill-down is not possible when the number is 0.

Picking

NestPacking: Brief error feedback for an SSCC from another warehouse shipment - Item 143887

If an SSCC belonging to another warehouse shipment is scanned in the A4.3 NestPacking Take / Drop form, the brief error message SSCC %1 belongs to Warehouse Shipment %2 now appears directly. The drop-off form remains open so that a suitable SSCC can be scanned immediately.

NestPacking in Picking on the customer card - Item 143879

The NestPacking setup field on the customer card is now named NestPacking in Picking.

NestPacking: Print SSCC label in A4.3 - Item 142268

When only an SSCC is selected in NestPacking, F9 prints the corresponding SSCC label. When both a PTU and an SSCC are selected, F9 continues to print the PTU label.

Bugs

Warehouse Shipment Creation by Shipping Agent and Date Corrected - Item 141187

When warehouse shipments are created, sales lines with the same shipping agent, shipping agent service code, and planned shipment date are now consolidated into one warehouse shipment. The warehouse shipment takes over the first loading day, shipping agent, and shipping agent service code from the sales lines; different values result in separate warehouse shipments.

Report Selection: Multiple reports for a label are printed correctly - Item 140432

When multiple reports are configured for Whse. Receipt Storage Unit Label (SU) in SWMS Report Selection, all reports are now printed exactly once and according to the Sequence specified there.

Outbound stock post lines lost after an error in a service order - Item 142153

When posting a service order, the outbound stock post lines could be lost if an error occurred in a very special case. Processing is now rolled back correctly on errors, so the outbound stock post remains unchanged.

Movement quantities in item tracking lines reset after output posting - Item 143522

After a partial output posting, the movement quantities of related Item Tracking Lines could remain too low. When posting via Post Output, they are now reset to the maximum remaining quantity.

GS1-Amazon label: quantity on the SSCC was incorrect after repeated picking - Item 142667

When several quantities of the same item were picked into the same SSCC one after another and the GS1-Amazon label was then printed, the label showed only the most recently picked quantity instead of the actual total quantity. The quantity on the label is now correctly summed across all picking operations.

A4.2: Tightened validation for scanned load carriers - Item 143542

In A4.2, an already posted load carrier could be incorrectly accepted as the PTU, in particular when a posted load carrier located on the bin was scanned during picking. As in A4.3, scanning an already posted load carrier is now also prevented in A4.2, and the error message LC %1 is posted! Report! has been unified across A4.2 and A4.3.

A4.3: a scanned posted load carrier was accepted as PTU when inventory serialization was active - Item 143563

In A4.3, when inventory serialization was active, a posted load carrier still located on the bin was incorrectly accepted as the PTU when validating the pick. Scanning an already posted load carrier now also shows the error message LC %1 is posted! Report! here.

Picking status was changed when recreating picking documents - Item 143714

If a quantity had already been entered in the Qty. Packed field for a line in the outbound stock post and the related picking line was thereby marked as completed, clicking Create Picking Documents again incorrectly reset the status of that already completed line back to released. Already completed picking lines now remain unchanged even when picking documents are recreated.

Stocktaking: Target quantity of found inventory is retained - Item 142674

When a cycle counting list was taken over, the target quantity of inventory found and transferred during stocktaking was incorrectly set to 0. The target quantity is now retained.

Stocktaking: Cycle counting lists are not completed prematurely - Item 144098

When inventory was transferred during stocktaking, the cycle counting list could be completed even though not all lines had been counted. Cycle counting lists are now completed only when all related lines have been counted.

Stocktaking: New inventory is not taken over twice - Item 144099

Creating a load carrier for found inventory could create duplicate quantities and lines in the cycle counting list. The inventory is now added to the cycle counting list only once when it is taken over.

Stocktaking: Third cycle counting list remains open when released - Item 144100

When the third cycle counting list was released, an error could appear and close the page. The cycle counting list now remains open and can be processed further.

PROGLOVE: Messages on the smartwatch were shown in English instead of the user's language - Item 140509

Messages on the ProGlove smartwatch, such as the notice to continue working on the handheld device as well as various error and status messages during picking, were previously fixed in English regardless of the configured language. These messages are now shown in the respective user language.

NestPacking: an already posted SSCC could be scanned as target - Item 145068

When using NestPacking during picking, an already posted SSCC could be scanned as the target. Scanning an already posted SSCC is no longer possible, and a corresponding error message now appears.

ATO: Item Ledger Entries are applied correctly - Item 142814

During assembly-to-order, the related item ledger entries were not applied to one another when posting. The item ledger entries are now applied correctly.

After a shipment, a production order could lose its link to the order through the reservation entries. Each output journal now also creates a stock document or extends an existing stock document.

Assembly-to-Order and Warehouse Shipment: Partial posting available again - Item 143604

Warehouse shipments with partially assembled quantities can now be partially delivered.

Assembly-to-Order and Warehouse Receipt: PTUs can be converted into SSCCs again - Item 143606

PTUs from assembly and production can now be converted into SSCCs again in warehouse receipt.

WHS Receipt Amazon PTU Label: Order reference readable again - Item 143817

The order reference on the WHS Receipt Amazon PTU Label can now be read again.

Warehouse document creation with item tracking corrected - Item 144294

Warehouse documents are now also created when reservation entries with item tracking exist. Quantities are calculated correctly, preventing over-deliveries and treating lot- and serial-number-tracked items consistently.

Warehouse document creation reserves open quantities only - Item 144627

Only open quantities are now reserved when a warehouse document is created for a warehouse shipment. Quantities already reserved are not reserved again.

Quantity on the outbound warehouse entry could be set higher than on the source document line - Item 144305

The quantity on the outbound warehouse entry could be manually set higher than the quantity on the related source document line, which could lead to picking documents being created and picking even being registered as complete. The quantity can no longer be set higher than the quantity on the source document line.
