Warehouse Shipment Planning – Shipment Level
The shipment level in Warehouse Shipment Planning provides a consolidated overview of all statuses across source documents and document lines that are to be dispatched as part of one loading project.
Purpose
The shipment level controls the entire outbound process via the shipping agent. It enables efficient planning and management of the loading week and loading day, giving the warehouse planner an at-a-glance status of all active loading projects.
Prerequisites
- A warehouse shipment must exist
- Open warehouse shipment as input
- Posted warehouse shipment or delivery as output
Process Flow
1. Working in Warehouse Shipment Planning
- The shipping agent code is taken from the source document but can be overridden.
- Keywords can be edited for better traceability.
- Prioritization at the shipment level does not directly affect the picking sequence.
2. Scheduling and Control
- The first loading week and first loading slot are taken from the source document.
- A fixed loading date can be defined, for example based on carrier requirements or internal batching.
3. Monitoring
- Supervision at the order and line level for a clear overview.
- Preconfigured view filters identify problem cases such as missing stock, open work documents, or incomplete packing.
4. Posting and Deletion
- Individual or multiple warehouse shipments can be selected for day-end closing.
- Warehouse shipments can be deleted individually or in bulk, for example for corrections or test runs.
5. FactBox
- Open via the information icon or ALT+F2.
- Displays key KPIs for decision-making.
- Provides a detailed breakdown of source documents and metrics for optimizing loading and packing planning.
