WR Mobile (com/phys)

The mobile warehouse receipt enables flexible recording of incoming goods at various warehouse points using handheld scanners or mobile devices.

Purpose

The mobile warehouse receipt handles simple deliveries. Warehouse receipt postings can be carried out directly via the MDE device.

  • Simple deliveries: One order per delivery, few items and load carriers, homogeneous deliveries (one item, many pallets with identical quantities).
  • Not suitable for: Heterogeneous deliveries with multiple items, mixed load carriers, different orders, or varying quantities per load carrier.

Prerequisites

  • Open source document lines without a warehouse receipt.

Process Flow

  1. Login on MDE and navigation

    • Log in and select "A1 Warehouse Receipt".
    • Select warehouse receipt team (Ctrl+K / F5).
  2. Start new process

    • Navigate via menu P1 (Ctrl+M) and select "A1 New process".
  3. Record delivery data

    • Scan vendor barcode, enter packages, and optionally create photos (F6).
    • Alternatively: scan a blank barcode to link with the delivery documents.
  4. Create warehouse receipt

    • Confirm with F5 (Ctrl+K) to create the warehouse receipt.
  5. Record document lines

    • Switch to menu P1 > select "8 Document input".
    • Enter document number or select via search function.
    • Scan or enter item number/manufacturer reference.
  6. Create load carriers

    • Enter number of load carriers and check dimensions/weights.
    • Confirm with F5 (Ctrl+K) or via menu "8 Create load carriers".
  7. Print labels and complete warehouse receipt

    • Automatic label printing after load carriers are created.
    • Navigate via P1 > select "8 Post WR" for final posting.

Roles

  • Warehouse receipt employee: Responsible for carrying out the mobile warehouse receipt.

Documents

  • Source documents: Purchase order, inbound stock post order (3PL), return, transfer order.
  • Warehouse receipt: Documentation of recorded and posted warehouse receipts.
  • Inbound Stock Post and SWMS Move Job.

Setup

  • General setup of warehouse receipts in BC and SIEVERS WMS.
  • Activation of warehouse receipts and WMS functionality.
  • Definition of number series for open and posted warehouse receipts.
  • Definition of a WR strategy and a WR team.

Variants

  • Complete warehouse receipt process on MDE: Manual and automatic processes for simple deliveries.
  • Mobile WR with GS1: Additional processing of GS1 barcodes for load carriers.
