GS1 WR Mobile

In the mobile GS1 warehouse receipt, GS1 standards are used for optimized barcode-based recording with mobile devices.

Purpose

The GS1 warehouse receipt enables faster and more efficient processing of incoming goods by using standardized GS1 labels. This reduces processing time and minimizes errors.

Prerequisites

The supplier uses GS1-compliant labels for the delivery of goods.

Process Flow

  1. Create warehouse receipt

    • By specifying the item (02), quantity (37), an SSCC (00), and an order (400), the warehouse receipt can be created mobile via scans.
    • If data is not encoded, it can be entered manually.
  2. Record data

    • Data is processed in a standardized manner according to GS1 guidelines.
    • Commercial warehouse receipt does not need to be created in advance.
  3. Posting and storage

    • Scanned units are posted directly to the warehouse.
    • Warehouse receipt can be linked to further documents.

Order Processing

  1. MDE login and select warehouse receipt

    • Select via menu (F5, Ctrl+K).
  2. Create new process

    • Open menu P1 (Ctrl+M) > menu A1.
  3. Barcode scan and package recording

    • Enter number of packages, create photo (F6), ESC.
    • If necessary: manual selection.
  4. Post in system

    • Confirm via F5 (Ctrl+K).
    • GS1 SSCC scan for packages.
  5. Scan all barcodes until confirmed

    • Use multi-scan.
    • Confirm quantity after complete scan.
  6. Scan additional GS1 SSCC labels

    • Repeat until all units are recorded.
  7. Complete and post

    • Menu P1 (Ctrl+M) > A8 post.
    • Partial or complete warehouse receipt is posted.
    • Inventory and entries are automatically updated.

Roles

  • Warehouse receipt employee: Responsible for recording and posting goods.

Documents

  • Source documents: Purchase order, inbound stock post order (3PL), sales return, transfer order.
  • Warehouse receipt: Documents the delivery.
  • Inbound stock post and move job: Further processing of goods.

Setup

  • SNC TRACE setup: Setup of GS1 SSCC structure, data identifiers, and required field assignments.
  • Vendor settings: Configuration of data identifiers for vendors.

Process Integration

The GS1 warehouse receipt is an alternative to classic WR processing with DESADV. Electronic transmission of data eliminates manual reconciliation on arrival of goods. This facilitates further processing and minimizes delays. The prerequisite is that the labels were created according to GS1 guidelines.

Variants

  • Mobile GS1 warehouse receipt: Processing via mobile scanners.
  • Stationary GS1 warehouse receipt: Processing in the BC client.
